The City Clerk’s Office at City Hall handles motor vehicle registrations and renewals for Dover residents. Many renewals can be completed online or by mail; new registrations are processed in person.

- Proof of ownership (title or bill of sale)
- Prior registration, if transferring plates
- A photo ID and proof of Dover residency
