City of Dover Community Services crews are on site repairing a water main break on Portland Avenue. Portland Avenue is closed to through traffic between Main Street and Dover Street while the repair is completed.
Water service is temporarily shut off for properties in the immediate area. Crews expect to restore service by this evening. When service returns, residents may notice discolored water for a short time — running a cold tap for a few minutes will clear it.
